A spade on a stick how cool! This is a great back saver tool, it’s a hand size spade on a long pole. The pole is in two sections with a large foam grip, it feels very solid once together and the spade is very sharp on the edges. It comes with a plastic sheath, be careful around pets using this and storing it. The spade itself does not have a short handle option, this is a long handle tool. The spade is welded on, I wouldn’t use this for breaking new ground, you wouldn’t want to pry too hard on this, the welds may give out. It’s works perfectly for planting my starter plants in my tilled garden beds, it easily digs a hole and I can do it upright without bending over and I can easily see my rows being upright looking down, then all I have to do on my knees is stick the plants in the holes and push them down. This is a very useful tool, great back saver tool. Highly recommend

This came in a few pieces but once together it feels solid! Definitely good construction and the blade of the shovel is sharp.

This is a must have tool for gardening. It's a well made, sturdy spade shovel. The poles are of metal material and super thick and strong. No problems with the separate parts screwed together, no wobbling or loosening. The spade is sharp and does excellent work cutting into weeds. Foam on the handles make it easy to hold and feels comfortable. My only issue is the design for the short length. If you forgo using the last piece so you can use it as a shorter shovel, the end is exposed and there is no protection in case of contact. I was hoping the beveled end on the long end of the pole could be unscrewed in order to use on the short end but does not. It is still functional however but I simply do not like the feel of using a broken piece.

I had a leak in my sprinkler system and using this shovel to dig it up made it a lot easier. The pole comes apart, so you can make it the length you need. The blade being small makes it dig precisely where you need, it helps in not having to dig a large hole to get get at the pipes. This works really well for this purpose and it has a great price.

This is a fantastic tool. Honestly, I was on the fence about it because I've tried so many of these tools with "screw together" handles and I've been, ummm, disappointed.I decided to get this because based on the Kemaier name. I have a lot of tools by Kemaier and they are great. Kemaier tools stay sharp, and have aged well throughout the couple seasons I've owned them. They have become my go to tools for tough garden tasks.This is a fantastic tool! The handle is really sturdy and does not flex At All when I'm using it. The head of this tool really a large,sharp trowel, which is perfect for my needs. It allows me to get tough weeding done standing up, specifically weeds that spread by by rhizomes. I easily just lift the whole weed out and toss it onto a small tarp. (I use a re-potting tarp which are tiny.) I can fully remove 20 weeds across my whole large garden bed in 5 minutes because I don't have to get up and down.There are 2 pieces to the handle pole. You can use it with just 1 piece (the piece closest to the head of the shovel), or with both pieces. There is no open holes (like a pipe) in either piece of the pole.Bottom line, if you think you'll like this, I think you will. This tool might become indispensable to me.
