Handle has great feel and trowel has nice balance. However, aluminum lacks strength. Attempted to dig up dandelion roots with trowel, and it snapped in half between handle and blade. OK for working in loose material like potting soil or sandy soil, but not durable enough in heavy soil. Lacks the strength of steel.
