I have struggled for several months with my pool pump and filter. Because I saw poor flow and bubbles in my pump, I tried to chase down an air leak but to no avail. I finally replaced the pump with an equivalent model from Amazon, and that helped some (my old pump was > 8 yr old), but I still experienced excessively high filter pressure on my Hayward DE filter, and I couldn't keep the filters clean even with removal and soaking. I bought these to replace the existing non-OEM filter elements that I had been using. So far, this seems to have resolved the pressure problem, and my automatic pool cleaner running all over the pool. My conclusion is that my earlier efforts to find an apparently non-existent air leak were in vain; what I needed was a new pump and new filter elements.
