The fit was off, causing alignment problems with my Dodge Ram. After a few weeks of use, I noticed leaks that required constant monitoring. I expected better quality for the price.

2004 Dodge Cummins 48re transmission. Fit perfect and all internals swapped from original part without issue. No issues after installing on customers truck. Highly recommend. You do need to tap the holes for the snap ring cover.

I haven't actually installed the whole transmission in the truck we're building, because I haven't installed the engine...or the bed...or the interior...or a bunch of things. This did bolt right up to the 48RE that I have sitting on a workbench in the pole barn though. It came with the gaskets that went in without issue. I only had that 48RE because the old housing was cracked. I have no idea how the previous owner of that transmission managed that one, but they did. Off-road shenanigans, maybe? I got it at a pick-n-pull for next to nothing because of that. Well, that and the fact that some kid was working the counter that day. I don't think he knows a 48RE from an AOD. This looks about the same as what was on there, minus the crack. The truck we're putting together is a 2007 Ram. It's in pieces right now, but once we have it up and running, I'll update this review with how the housing is holding up. I don't see why it wouldn't work thus far. Everything fit together as it should. Should be fine as long as it doesn't leak.
