I have a 2008 Honda accord. As you can see in the picture the positive battery tab contact does not land in the correct position on the circuit board so the internal replacement gut case and new buttons could not be used. The original gut case did fit inside the new shell so I ended up not returning it. It would have been nice to have new buttons though.

This is a sturdy case and well designed, except the insert will not accommodate the circuit board for a 2012 Honda Accord. The battery connectors are wrong, the insert case does not have room for the surface mount components on the circuit board. IF your buttons are good, this is a good buy, just throw away the new insert and use the old one. If your outer case is broken, this one is a good replacement. If your buttons are not functioning, you may need a different kit to fit your Accord.

My original key was not working — the key was loose and the buttons only sometimes worked. I decided to go to the Honda dealer to inquire about a replacement. I was quoted $190 for the key and $110 for the service department to program it. I decided to first save myself $290 by purchasing a replacement on Amazon. What a great decision! It works great! Such an incredible money saver!

I'm frustrated I made the mistake of accidentally buying this brand AGAIN after having to return the last one I got from them. The holes that the screw is supposed to go into does not actually line up to where you're able to screw the pieces together. I tried using my key anyways, thinking they'd stay clamped together but they definitely do NOT & I have almost lost my key multiple times due to this product. Don't bother buying unless you want to pay an additional $150 to get another key cut...
