I got this to upgrade a single light source to a multi-light source and I’m just glad I have experience installing light fixtures as the instructions for this are poor. Hard to follow and a bit confusing as to how to connect some pieces.Built quality is okay – for some lights I had no problem removing the cover to install the bulb, but others started to seem like they were going to disconnect at the joint. For the moment I’m not worried as I have LED bulbs installed, but when I have to change some of them I wonder how easy it’ll prove to be.Okay for the price, but I’m wondering if it might be better to just pay a little bit more for something that instills more confidence in its long-term usage.

I've installed enough track lights that I can safely say that these are nice. The lights themselves are compact and lightweight and have a nice finish, and the track and connectors work as they should. (You'd be surprised; I've bought some that don't.) I saw that one reviewer had trouble screwing in the light bulbs, but you can unscrew the top part of the light fixture so that installing bulbs is a breeze. I'm not super fond of this kind of connection system because you can't center the two tracks on the ceiling box, but I got around that by cutting one of the tracks so it was slightly shorter so that the two track lengths extending from either side of the ceiling box looked even.

Installed this track light in the rec room, and it looks pretty nice… the overall design of the heads looks modern and sleek and I really like how narrow they are. However, due to their narrow heads, installing the GU10 lightbulbs (not included) is a bit tricky. Luckily we have a set of lightbulb installation suction cups so it really helped to get the bulbs into the slot and to twist them into position. We’re using the lights more for accent lighting, and the heads rotate/swivel/tilt easily enough to get the angle of the beam where we want. The overall quality is ok, for the price point, I wasn’t expecting anything too premium so I don’t really have a problem with it, and since it’s up and positioned, it’s not going to be handled much anymore. Installing it was a different matter, the included instructions weren’t that “user-friendly”, but easy enough to figure out with basic electrical knowledge.Overall, I like the sleek modern design, the finish is not premium but as long as you don’t scratch the finish when installing, it looks quite nice.

Overall I am very pleased with this tracklight. It is made from good quality material and the workmanship is very appealing. I appreciate the cover for the electrical blox which gives this light a clean and professional looking finish. The four lights are compact and easy to insert the lightbulbs into and easy to slide on the track and aim them as pleased. The installation was a bit tricky and took more time than I expected. The mounting plate on the track light only offered about 30 degrees of rotation which was not enough for me to line up the light track parallel to the wall. In the end I only used one screw (instead of two) to mount the light to the electrical box, and then used both screws in the track to mount it to the ceiling. I am sure that is enough to securely hold the light in place as it is not very heavy. 10 points for the finished product, 6 points for the installation.

Installed these today and I’m very happy with them!The “H” track rail system is not completely new to me but it is new in this circumstance. Is it any better than a hard wired fixture? I believe so. It gives you the opportunity to space out your lights the way you want them. It also reduces the weight while you are doing the installation which for me was a plus, albeit a one time plus.Aesthetically I like most but I wish they would change two things, first being the end piece. It kind of out of place, not terribly but noticeable when you’re hanging it. Secondly, a piece of plastic to fill in the rail between the individual fixtures would be nice. A full length that could be cut to size by the user.With no bulbs supplied, which I did not like until I had it installed, gives you the opportunity to get the ones you like. I ordered mine when I ordered the fixture. I went with a 7 watt Daylight bulb and it lights my room just the way I like.A couple small fixes and this would easily be a 5 star item! As is, it’s an easy 4-4.5 star review!

The price is totally reasonable, and it comes with everything you need for the track lighting setup. The only thing it doesn’t include is the light bulbs, but you can easily pick those up separately. No biggie at all!
