I had a lot of slop in my old Chevy tailgate. Got to inspecting it and the strikers were chewed up. Guess twenty years takes its toll. Did on me but anyway the bumpers had apparently dry rotted and fell off. A five minute job and no more rattles. Very easy to DIY.
