All of them can not control speed of single 60mm pc fan. Fan speed is maximum or off state.

I am using it for self-contained power on my z scale model train layout. It appears to provide smoother operation than a purpose-built controller.My one complaint is that during normal operation, it emits a high pitch noise. This is different from the noise it makes when it is protecting itself from a short circuit when something derails. I can’t hear it, but my wife can, and I would love to know how to contain the noise or otherwise eliminate it.

I'm using this to control a noisy cooling fan in my PC. I've only tried one of the four I received, but it works perfectly. Assuming they all work, or even half of them, it's a good value. The only issue I have is that it will slow the fan all the way down to where it wont even spin. This could damage the fan, so be careful to not set it too slow, especially for starting the fan. Not a defect of the product, just something to be mindful of.
