It was fairly easy to install, there are some good instructional videos on YouTube showing how to do it. The only difficulty I had was getting my big paws in behind the trim panel on the CRV to connect the plug and hook up the ground to the ground screw. A little sweat and a few cuss words later and I was good to go! 😁

This device was quickly and easily installed using information on YouTube. It probably only took me about 20 minutes after watching a video and assembling the proper tools for the job. Everything worked flawlessly after the installation. I believe I only paid about $28 for the kit. I called U-haul to see what it would cost to get one from them and have it installed. $155! So easy. Do it yourself!

I installed it on our 2021 Honda CR-V . Connections were perfect. Have not tested it out yet.Update. It's a good product works great. Easy to install. Just an FYI for ppl new to this. If I were to install another one I would extend the fuse wires to come down in under the trunk so as to make replacing the fuse much easier and simple. My trailer had a found in it and blew the fuse and I had to strip out all the panels to replace the fuse.

Very easy install. Check installation video from u haul...its got the best trim removal instructions. With this kit you need to ground it... just use the factory ground just above the plug in.This kit worked first time.I have not used it for long, so I cannot comment on its longevity, but the install was a breeze.

I watched about 2 minutes of a YouTube vid to see where the plug and harness were located. This kit literally took 2 minutes to install. There was a body ground 6" from the harness plug also. The other 5 minutes we're removing body panels. 2 Phillips head screws behind a trim cover of a handle release and a small snap behind a clip and I was off to the races.I originally bought a supposed plug and play kit from the Uhaul website and got them to install it when they mounted the frame receiver hitch from the website also. I'm guessing it was a universal kit because they spliced into the brake lights and ran a hot from the battery spliced 3 times under the car.Lesson to the masses: use this kit, do it yourself, save a lot of money.
