As far as the functionality of this, it does exactly as advertised which is why I am not giving it a lower rating. It keeps what you want closed closed with a very strong adhesive when applied properly as per the instructions. The pro and sort of con is that is not the easiest to open. Good thing because the point is for the kids not to be able to open it but personally I would like the actual opening mechanism to be a bit more simple and straightforward for the adult who will be opening and closing it on the daily if it's used on say a fridge or toilet as advertised.There are three extra holes in the middle which makes me think you could probably cut it to make it shorter if you wanted.It's quite nice that it comes in a pack of five and the neutral gray color is nice too.Two out of the five clips have a small piece of plastic sticking up which is actually quite sharp. It's something that I have to try and cut down because it doesn't break off just with me trying to push it off with my fingers.Overall it does it's job of keeping things closed off from the littles which is important. I know I'm being a bit picky, it just isn't quite practical enough in my mind with all the minor inconveniences to make me love it for how I would like to use something like this on the daily if that makes sense.

I've tried several baby-proofing locks, and many of them are so difficult to open that even adults struggle with them. I cannot recommend these as they pop open ridiculously easy - whether a human pushes against it or an animal relative, the plastic locking area just pops open. I have tried every which way to stop this, followed the instructions to a T, and even considered trying to duct tape it shut.. but that would defeat the purpose of it. The one good thing about this is that the adhesive is strong, but that doesn't matter much when the lock won't stay locked, does it?

This is a good, basic set of child locks that, frankly exceeded my expectations! Included in the packet are five saftey locks, which ended up being the perfect number for my intended use - to keep my two kitties from being able to easily access my floor-level cabinets. And for that, they do a great job! Keep in mind that when you are purchasing a product like this, the installation time can be somewhat considerable. I've purchased many child safety locks over the years, and often, the most effective ones tend to be the ones that take the most time to install. Usually, they are also the most expensive, as well. (You tend to get what you pay for in life, in time and effort, as well as money.) These locks are a great solution for what I needed - something quick that would keep my bad-boy kitten from discovering chemicals that could harm him.The installation was lightning fast. I had them out of the packet, and installed the cabinets within minutes - definitely a record for me with this sort of thing. That's very important, it turns out, because I have better quality cabinet locks I purchased before bringing my kitten home, that are still sitting in their packages. (I had purchased similar when my teen daughter was an infant through early childhood and I remember the installation as being quite time consuming, so I never got around to installing them this time around, for the kitties...) These locks work just as well, or better for many of the dual cabinet locks that work similar to the way I've used these. The mounting tape included on the strap ends is 3M; it certainly seems secure enough to withstand a curious kitten, which I had some doubt about. But make no mistake, these are good. They may not be the cutest-looking, but I was mostly interested in something functional that I could get on the cabinets until I have more time to install the more robust locks, but I think I may just keep these on instead. They work fine, and leave the same amount of maximum open space between the cabinets when the safety locks are secured. An most importantly, they are done.So I might just recommend that anyone needing safety locks in a hurry give these locks a try. I'm certainly glad I did!

The 5 Pack Oven Lock Child Safety is straightforward to use—simply remove the backing and apply it where necessary. However, the 3M adhesive falls short in durability. While it offers a measure of safety for children, a strong push can still cause it to open. To ensure optimal safety, I currently have to use four locks, placing two on each side of the oven. This approach is essential for keeping my kids safe.
