Have you ever been straining something through cheesecloth or a tea towel and the weight of what you're pouring in makes the cloth collapse? Yeah, I have mad skills like that. This little gem eliminates that issue, the bag is secured to the wire frame with a ZIPPER. I like these so much I'm probably going to order the other two sizes to have a complete set for a variety of straining jobs. I like that they're not super bulky to store and that the bags are washable.

Premium Quality StrainersThe kit comes with three fine cotton strainers, one coarser heat resistant nylon strainer and a stainless steel handle.We use strainers multiple times a day for different purposes. We make and go through nut milk quite frequently. The cotton strainers are great for that. We make loose ingredients teas and soups, and the coarser heat-resistant strainer is good for that.The metal handle is great for holding the strainers open and placing them on the mouths of containers. The bags have zippers which allow the metal handle to easily be added and held securely in place.The entire kit is more flexible than the simple one type fits all strainers one normally finds. As frequent strainers, this has made our lives much easier.

These are the perfect nut straining bags for making homemade almond milk. I love that you get five for a great price, and the metal handle makes a huge difference in convenience of use. I'm used to fumbling around with other brands trying to hold the bag open to pour and then trying to hold it in place and squeeze it with one hand. The metal holder keeps the bag in place and is much less work and mess. I've paid way more in the past for other brands that did not offer the same quality and convenience that these do. They are easy to wash and last for many uses. They're also just the right size to fit inside a quart-sized pitcher. These would be great for making large batches of tea or mulled wine or cider. The options to use them are endless. I will definitely be purchasing from this brand from now on.

So I tried to use the cotton net to strain my oat milk and that was a no go. I used the nylon mesh, which is like what I was originally using but as a coffee filter worked very well. Both washed clean when getting the oat residue off. Both dried very well in the dish rack. I wish the package came with 2 cotton nets and 2 nylon nets. I am happy that I can make my oat milk nice and fast. This was the original reason I got this set and I like the metal handle to hold. I am able to fit the net in my bottle, pour the oat milk mixture in, and slowly pull the net out leaving only oat milk in the bottle.

This is a convenient straining option. I regularly make homemade elderberry syrup, which requires straining. Previously, I would cut cheesecloth to strain the berries after cooking. This often created shedding at the edges and it was really a one use thing. I like that this attached easily and I can pour my liquid and cooked berries right into this to strain it. I love that they are washable, providing more usage. I am not sure how long each will hold up to washing, however, it is nice that you are provided with five pieces, which are the strainer handle and extra bags. Overall, this is a nice piece for anyone that makes elderberry syrup, yogurt, soup, etc.
