The 3" is great for straining tea and teaspoons of things for baking, while the 4" is good for straining things such as quinoa. These strainers are easy to clean, simply add to the dishwasher after use. The loop allows the strainers to easily rest on top of cups and bowls. The stainless steel mesh won't rush even after multiple uses!

We have never had this size strainer among our kitchen gadgets. Got these for an activity that I was doing with my students so bought four sets. They worked great! They are sturdy (they held up to student use). After using them, I wondered why they hadn't been part of our kitchen. The two sizes just seem like they would be great to have for when the large strainer is just too much. Also, small enough they are easy to store. I am going to keep a set and then pass them out to my kids for their kitchens.

I ordered these and received them yesterday. I put them in the dishwasher to wash before using. These photos are how they came out. The listing states they are stainless steel. No they are some cheap alloy. You can see how the metal turned to black and then oxidized immediately. The mesh immediately rusted in the dishwasher. The 4th photo is the rust that came off from taping one strainer on the papertowl after taking it out of the dishwasher. I would not use these with food - #1 because they covered in rust, but also, who knows what kind of coating they have on them to look like shiny stainless if it comes off in the dishwasher. I will be reporting this to amazon as well.

Product deserves 0 stars. It's a use once and throw away. Used it to strain lemon juice, which caused silver finish to fall off. Highly recommend to don"t buy this product.
