I did everything I was soposed to, aptly did a few different ways. (Had a bunch of seeds) haven't germinated, nothing. Still had a caseing around the seed. Even though they didn't float I gave them a chance, tried some in the fridge, froze a couple, soaked a Lil longer, tried hot water soaking. Some just planted some trying to germinate. And nothing. Total waste of money. I was excited. Complete disappointment. Do NOT buy.

I watched the company’s video on how to correctly prepare the seeds to sprout and followed it exactly. Not a single seed sprouted. I’m pretty disappointed. I didn’t realize it was so complicated when I ordered them.

I cold stratified seeds for 2 months then planted. Took about a week and a half to germinate. Very high rate of germination. I currently have enough baby seedlings to start a Christmas tree farm...Update: these seeds are mislabeled. After 6 months or so, they appear to be spruce and not white pine as advertised. For that reason I am dropping down to 3 stars. The seeds are good...just not the correct species

The general word on the Internet is that most pine seeds won't sprout. That said, the packet of "50 seeds" actually contained about 70 seeds. I've read that you put them in water overnight and the ones that float in the morning are bad. I did this, and discarded about a dozen floaters. Of the 58 remaining, I planted 50 in a covered germination tray that holds 50 tiny peat pots, has a lower tray for holding water, and a clear ventable cover. A germination warming mat is underneath. After one week, 9 sprouts were up and at the end of the second week I now have 16 sprouts and they continue to come up. 24 now. I'm happy with the results. These can't be bought in California nurseries because no one out here wants to grow them from seed, apparently, and I use the needles to make tea.
