First time tile job and this was a great purchase. Worked as expected and had leftovers for my next project.

I struggled before with getting my tiles leveled and this system (501 Pcs Tile Leveling System with 1/32" (1mm) Tile Spacers, Tile Wedges and Tile Leveling Clips - Saves Time for Perfect and Precise DIY Installation of Ceramic Tiles - With Leveler Tool (Pliers)) is so clever in design and makes it so easy to get even tiles. It had a slight learning curve to using it but once I got through a few of them, it became so easy, almost robotic in getting it right. I was just using spacers before for the grout lines and at times was dissatisfied with the unevenness. This solves that problem, I didn't know this kind of system was even a thing. I like that I can reuse the wedges and this kit came with the pliers.I also got a pack of thicker clips for a wider grout line, these ones are pretty thin. I was testing it in a small area to familiarize myself with how it worked and what I like and I think the wider grout line is what we prefer. I'm sure I'll find a use for these thinner ones for other tile applications. I'll be using this system for replacing tiles at our new house, I'm so glad I was able to get this item to try out, this is going to help me get the perfect levelness that my OCD needs!

THIS IS A MUST HAVE!. If you are a novice or a pro at tiling this spacer system is a MUST. it will allow you to have an even spaced floor with no lippage. The spacers must be embedded under the thinset on all your surrounding tiles. Make sure you use the correct amount of clips recommended by your tile manufacturer. The larger the tiles the more clips you will be using . So order more than you think you will need . You still have to make sure your tiles are close to each other as at this point the only function of the clear clips is spacing. Once your next tile is set then the red wedges come to play allowing you to level the tiles together . The key word here is leveling . You still have to make sure your tiles are tight to the spacers The function of the red wedge is leveling and not PULLING the tiles together horizontally even. It may be pulling them together vertically but not horizontally. Please make sure your tiles are as close as possible and the correct spacing as you will not be able to push them together later.Always and I repeat always , use the tool to drive the wedges into the clips , you can certainly start them by hand , but finish them with the tool. That is what the tool is for and how the system is supposed to work. Do this regardless of the tile size. This again is an incorrect assumption .Choose your grout line accordingly with the tile manufacturer, follow their guidelines , there is always a range of appropriate and recommended grout lines.I'm installing a lot of tile in my new home and have received this kit which I will be using extensively .The only issue I have is that I am using large format tiles 24 x 48 tiles and my min recommended grout line is 3/16 "and they don't have these clips widths do I will have to get from someone else . However the 1/8 clips will be used After the thinset is dry , I usually weight at least 24 hrs The vertical portion of the spacer will be knocked off using a rubber mallet . The wedges will be reused as well the tool . Don't forget to clean your wedges Great Product!

I've never been able to lay tile so perfectly and so cleanly that, as the photos indicate, have no grout squeezing up through cracks, getting the clips, wedges and leveling pliers caked in mortar! Tiling for me is just such a messy job. I'm obviously not a very good tiler. But with these leveling (and spacing) clips at least the finish product looks somewhat professional (after a lot of cleaning and dehazing)! Not exactly 1/16" spacers, though they are exactly 1.5 mm (about 0.0165" narrower--basically 17/100 of an inch). I don't know about you out there, but if my tiling required that accuracy, I would get someone else to do the work! These do their job. But like all these types of leveling clips, there can be issues. First is the issue of the mortar "locking" the clip in place. When it comes time break the clips off (use a rubber mallet or your shoe and always in line with the grout line), the clip will sometimes break off at the finish tile surface. Get that utility knife out to trim it down!Another "feature" of these types of leveling clips is overstressing the clip when installing the wedges using the supplied pliers. This can result in one leg of the clip breaking potentially limiting its ability to level the tile. Be careful.Wedges and a functional wedge plier are provided. Pretty basic quality on the pliers. I would suggest purchasing a higher quality plier if you will be doing a lot of tiling. It's worth the extra expenditure. The wedges are made of a high-quality rigid plastic. They can be reused after cleaning (see 1st paragraph above).Do they work? For the most part yes. There can be some variation in tile elevations unless care is taken to ensure the tiles are properly seated in the mortar, and most importantly, once the tiles are leveled, do not walk on the leveled tiles until cured. This is a good price for the quantity and quality of the leveling clips. Half-star off for the low-quality pliers (this is typical of all lower priced leveling clips systems).
