I start seeds indoors every year and wanted another light for that. This light is super bright and the perfect length. All the seedlings I have under it are flourishing. It comes with hardware to hang it up, but I didn't bother with that. Just set it up on some books for support and it's good to go.

Love these 6500K t5, we use this single bulb for our ducklings and infrared heat mat to mimic natural life over radiant heat lamp that is always one. We have it on a timer and our ducks gets full spectrum sun, healthy than whatever spectrum the heat lamp emanates.

It's a grow light and it works but you can get an LED Llight that will do the same thing in a two pack for the same price.

I have my seeds on a 4' gondola shelf (like from a grocery store) and this fits it exactly!I mounted it to the underside of a shelf above my seeds with double sided super sticky tape (it came with mounting hardware, don't remember if it came with tape, but I use my own anyway) and can adjust the shelf over my seeds as needed. I don't remember it having a built in timer function like most of my other grow lights- so this is plugged into a regular timer. I'll be interested to see how my seeds perform under this light vs some of my other LED lights with multiple spectrum ranges- and I'll update when I get some results.Either way I'm optimistic and will probably order additional since this fits my gond so well.

The hanging instructions lack detail, but I was able to fumble through the pieces and find a way to hang it up. It’s a bright light and my plants seem to do well under it. I’m a little concerned that the light strip and bulb get pretty warm to the touch (warmer than my normal fluorescent lights) but from what I’ve read, that’s not uncommon for a T5 grow light. It has a simple on-off switch, so I plan to put it on a timer.

According to the product description, the LumiaStar 50W Fluorescent T5 Grow Light Strip provides a bright full sun spectrum and produces 5000 lumens. The 4-foot lamp is labeled as "Sun Blaze" from Sun Systems and actually consumes 54W as shown on the label, though I haven’t yet confirmed the 5000-lumen output since I don’t own a light meter.I’ve been using this grow light in combination with an LED red/blue grow light in my basement setup. This pairing has effectively nurtured seedlings, giving them a strong start before transplanting them into my vegetable garden next month. The full-spectrum output of this T5 fluorescent light has been particularly beneficial for promoting healthy growth during the critical early stages of seedling development. Compared to the LED light source, this one does get quite warm.At the moment, I’m cultivating a variety of seedlings, including several types of tomatoes, as well as basil, corn, and lettuce. Overall, the LumiaStar light strip is proving to be a reliable option for those looking to optimize seedling growth in preparation for the growing season.
