The new LED ring ceiling fans have lights that change temperature whenever you flip the switch too quickly. I dislike this greatly and this selectable temperature light fixes that issue. I like it a lot.

This retrofit kit was used in a poorly designed fixture that would constantly burn out incandescent lamps and would not accommodate LED bulbs easily. The center support shaft fit perfectly through the center hole in the lamp and the manual switch for color temperature adjustment worked perfectly and gives multiple options. I took this retrofit lamp apart before installation and it appears to be designed well and electrically safe using a MOV (metal-oxide varistor) for transient voltage suppression a fusible resistor acting as an over current disconnect in the AC section of the circuit. The board construction seems to be high quality and the plastic lenses over the LEDs give a wide light dispersion pattern. The included magnets made instalation quick and easy. I wrote the date on the back, so we'll see how long it lasts. I'll be sure to update the review if there are any issues.

I used this LED replacement kit in a porch light. It works as intended, and the installation was straight forward. I'm more concerned about durability of this kit and will update the review if it falls short of my expectations. So far so good!

I replaced an Fluorescent light in my ceiling fan and couldn't happier! It produces several times for light (the old fluorescent bulb was a circular one about 7 inches in diameter and I couldn't be happier!I had to wire it in, but I just wired black to black and white to white and it worked fine.This LED light also has the nice feature of being able to switch between different colors that allows you to pick the one that suites your room best.In my case, I have a Hunter fan but the metal plate wasn't flat for the magnets on the new LED light to attach to, but it is still secure and I can't notice the slight angle it rests at.Highly recommended.

I used this to replace a set of very dim lights on a fan in a bedroom. These have made a world of difference in terms of brightness. The lights go from daylight white to warm, which was perfect. Since I was using this on a fixture that wasn't meant to fit this, it took some finagling to make it work. The magnets aren't the strongest, so unless you have a flat surface to work with you can also use screws to attach it. I haven't had issues in the month or so I have been using it.

This didn’t fit my fan quite right, but the color temperature is much better when manually set than when “programmed” via on/off combinations. The optics on each diode give a nice wide spread for good distribution within a diffuser or globe.
