This is a great tamper! Our espresso machine comes with an abnormal size for the espresso to go into. So I had some trial and error to get the right size tamper. This one is great, it has a little weight to it, making the tamping very easy. It's very easy to wash, nicely made and tucks away easily when not in use. It's also very simple. Some of the newer tamper styles have features that actually backfire as they can send your espresso flying as they are spring loaded - which is just seriously unnecessary to the process of making espresso. Like why break something that has worked for like 200 years?Overall: Good price point, nice product, easy to clean, simple design, compact, works well. 5 stars.

Bought this tamper for my new Espresso girlie era. Beginning to make my lattes at home meant needing all the right tools. This tamper is the perfect addition to my caffeine station setup. It’s just the right size, and does exactly what it’s supposed to for a great value! I also love the wood feature on the handle. It gives it a classy appearance!

Heavy tap like this compresses coffee in holder so water pushes through grounds, creating a richer cup of coffee with no watery grounds. Perfect addition for serious espresso makers. Cheap plastic doesn't do the trick.

Has a nice heft to it which is what you want from a tamper. My espresso comes out way more every now and I don't use much pressure at all.Handle is solid and has held up well to wiping down or sometimes hand- washing with mild soap.

For the price, not sure there's a better deal out there. The wood looks great, very heavy in the hand, and extremely sturdy. Fits perfectly in a 51 mm portafilter - not too snug to create an air lock, not too loose that it rattles around.

You definitely get what you pay for. This tamper has been very reliable for the last few months and we have had zero issues while using it. It has a decent weight to it and is very durable. Our toddler has gotten his hands on this a few times and it's holding up really well!
