This kit was very comprehensive, it included all the parts needed. No other manufacturer included these in a single kit so this was really helpful.

Ordered this product due to my old one having a saturated float bowl and flooding. Installed new carb and went to fire it up and runs horribly rough and won’t level out. Take carb off and open the new one up and there is no washer on the inside on the bottom of the float bowl. Removed new float and installed on old carb and it ran like a champ. Disappointed would be the nicest word I would use.

This was purchased for my travel trailer that has a generator but would not start. I took a shot in the dark and purchased this and it got me through 4 days of no power with Helene. A great value!

T E R R I B L E!!!!Install was simple enough and something I’m familiar with. That being said got it installed. Primed it up. Hit the start button and nothing. Wouldn’t fire up. Then I noticed gas leaking out of the carb bowl…so I removed the new carb. Put back in the old one. But I did use the plastic fuel filter that came with it. Seems to be working…Well this morning I woke up. Hit the start Hutton and was doing dishes when I caught the smell of gasoline. Went outside and found a giant puddle of gas under the generator. Opened it up and the fuel filter was leaking gas out of the plastic filter as well as the hose inlet/outlet. And trust me they’re as tight as can be.Not at all a happy camper.Do yourself a favour and buy onan parts. Instead of this china garbage.

The clip for the fuel line is too small, but a $2 hose clamp fixed it. My Generator had a thick, heavy-duty hose I opted not to replace with theirs, and their hose clamp was smaller to match.Otherwise, 4 screws out, remove the air filter canister, unhook three connectors and 1 hose, and slide the puppy out. It's a little tight getting it back in, but once clear, it goes in easily.Took about 5 minutes of priming and starting to get it to catch. Use your finger to open the throttle lever up. That makes it easier. Once fuel flow was established, it ran like a champ!

Fixed alot of carb issues, but ran so rich and smokey, removed it and found it was missing the venturi seal washer between the bowl and it. Stole the old washer from the old carb and straightened that up.

Carburetor did not work for my Onan 7000, and I was quite surprised because others have said it did work for them. Carburetor received gas and was blowing it into engine but then nothing happened. I reinstalled the old carb and it fired up (I needed a new carb because old one allowed too much fuel through to the engine). I then took a part the new carb and old carb and put them together in various combos and still nothing worked ( I’m thinking it was the auto choke or other connection on bottom, not getting a signal). But I am leaving one star cause I did take the bowl/altitude adjustment off the new card and put it on the old carb. Works awesome now!! (In hindsight, I probably just could have cleaned my old carb).

After installation the generator would start, but die almost immediately and was just pooring out gas. We thought it was a different problem and had to wait until we traveled to a place that had an RV repair shop. The tech told us it was a defective carburetor, so we ordered a different brand. Installed in 5 minutes and now run great!

The carb I received was missing the washer that goes inside the float bowl, which is necessary for it to work. Lucky for me I had the old carb complete and used the washer from it. The new carb seems to work well now. Time will tell of the quality. Important to note to keep clean fresh gasololine in your tank, change gas filters often as practical, and drain the float bowl for extended storage. All the crud and dirt in the gas will create a sort of varnish, end up in the bottom of the float bowl and plugging up the small holes in the jets.

I have a 2015 Toyhauler with a Cummins Onan 5500 watt generator on board. Started giving me an error code 14 for overspeed/over crank. All info I could find pointed to the carb. I found this one and was skeptical due to the price. I could never seem to get the Cummins site to work correctly and order a new oem carb. Gave this one a try! I pulled the old one off cleaned it really well and set it aside. New one came I installed it, primed it, and it fired rite up. No issues ran for a few hours till I shut it off. Next day I cranked it and it fired rite up ran for hours till I shut it off. No issues at all so far and I am very impressed. Seems well made just like the factory one! Thinking about buying another just to keep on board for the price! Well done!

Skeptical at first of this low price carburetor that sells for nearly 1/10th the cost of an Onan Cummins direct carb, I decided enough positive reviews made it a worthwhile try. This is on a 2002 Itasca Suncruiser 32V motorhome that had been parked a long time before we bought it and the generator was declared not working by the seller. My initial troubleshooting of the generator ruled out fuel supply—the pump delivered plenty of fuel flow to the carb. The carb float bowl drain screw showed steady fuel flow out, so the float valve was not stuck closed. Finally the mysterious fuel shutoff solenoid at the bottom of the float bowl had power going to it, but as the engine would not start the Onan manual indicated changing the solenoid first. I bought the solenoid directly from Onan Cummins and the cost was almost as much as a complete carb here on Amazon. Changing the fuel shutoff solenoid did not improve my situation and I expected that opening up the carburetor for a good cleaning of the jets inside out would help this old neglected generator run again. Well, surprise there are no carb gasket kits available for the carb from Onan Cummins. With my luck I’d end up breaking the bowl gasket taking apart the carb and then be stuck having to make a new one somehow. At this point it made good sense to try buying one of these low cost carbs from Amazon. Also, I forgot to mention in my initialtroubleshooting that the generator’s ignition worked fine as spraying starter fluid into the carb throat allowed the generator to fire up and run as long as I sprayed the fluid in the carb throat.Looking back, I would have been better off just buying the carb here on Amazon and skipping the purchase of a new fuel shutoff solenoid as an intermediate step. The new carb works. I have my old carb still, and maybe someday when I have some free time I will open the bowl and see if I can clean the jets with Berrymans chem tool and/or remove the jets and rod out the fine ports as I’ve done with old lawnmowers with dried out gummed up carbs.
