These are a high quality metal spring for an attic ladder although it turns out that they didn’t work for our ladder, most likely our fault for not making proper measurements, but otherwise well made springs.

I liked the end hooks. They all were formed the same. I could not see any visible defects. With a spring of this size and strength it’s critical they are used within the stretch and mounting parameters. They easily carry the weight and makes closing and opening the storage area a breeze. I also liked the fit, ease of installation and sturdiness of this pair of springs.
