I like that it is sturdy and has protection for your tank to keep it sturdy. The connection strip seems like more of an afterthought. One of the things I do like though is that it can be attached from either direction, so for example I want to attach to my ladder on my motorhome, but the door is on one side and the space for this will be opposite. The clasp is not fixed to can be places on right or left side.For me that is important, but it fit's well and has been sturdy.

Was using 1 lb disposable propane tanks for camping..no more! I have a simple van build and will be hauling a 5 lb refillable tank. I still am not sure if I will be keeping the tank inside or outside on my hitch. Either way, I needed a strong, holder to keep the tank stable as I travel. This is perfect. The steel is sturdy enough to mount outside or inside. The strap is a ratchet type that feeds through the back and around the tank. There are 4 mounting holes on the flat back to secure the steel bracket wherever you choose. Hardware is included but I am not sure what I will ultimately need. I cannot speak on how corrosion resistant it is. Great fit and sturdy.

This fit my small 5lb propane tank very well. It has pads on each of the inside walls to keep the tank from banging or rattling, or scratching and rusting.The clamp is basically a huge hose clamp that isn't anti-theft / secure (anyone with basic tools can take it off), but it should keep honest people honest and would take a little effort to remove. I haven't installed it yet (just got 30" of snow), but unboxing it revealed a very stoutly built bracket that I won't have any worries over... it's made from steel that's thicker than the tank it's holding. The nicely powder coated main frame with three rubber pads and a stainless steel "hose-clamp" style clamp to secure the tank give me the impression that this will last a long time without any problems. I'd get this again when I need another. Highly recommended.

I was wary of transporting a 5 gallon propane tank in my vehicle when camping, from a safety perspective. This will allow me to attach it to my vehicle's roof rack.I was actually near a store that had a gas explosion once. It shook my house, and it's a good thing nobody was on the street in front of it where all of the window glass went flying. So, safety first!
