About this item

  • 433mhz RF Transmitter and Receiver Superheterodyne UHF ASK Remote Control Switch Module For Arduino Wireless Diy Kit.
  • Mains input voltage range: 2.2V-5V; Operating frequency: 433.92 MHz, bandwidth of about ± 150KHz.
  • Low-power performance, along with high dynamic range (greater than 60dB). Module uses highly integrated chip, built front-end low-noise amplifier,Mixers, filters, frequency synthesizer circuit, etc., can maximize the signal optimization.
  • Support ASK / OOK modulation, the receiver sensitivity of -108dBm.
  • Applications: Can be used for wireless power switch, socket, remote control switch, receiver module, smart home products, remote control curtains, remote MP3, and so on.

Product Features:

1. Support ASK / OOK modulation, the receiver sensitivity of -110dBm;

2. Operating frequency: 433.92 MHz, bandwidth of about ± 150KHz;

3. Mains input voltage range: 3.0V-5V; Working current: Type :5.0mA (Requirement:VDD=5V) ; Type :6.0mA (Requirement:VDD=3V)

4. Quiescent Current: 1uA

5. Low power consumption;

6. Good selectivity and spurious radiation suppression, and easy to pass CE / Fcc international certification;

I think the transmitter module is only rated at 3.3v and I fried one on 5V. I got one pair to work on Arduino Nanos using the Radio Head library. I got another to work on 2 ATmega644 microcontrollers using builtin usarts at 2400 baud with 5 byte packets sent every 20ms. Higher baud rates were problematic

I ordered 3 different sets of RF modules, this was the only brand that worked as advertised. They worked right out of the box without any external antenna. Adding the antenna increased the range. I powered these with a 5v voltage regulator, and coupled them with a pair of HT12E/HT12D encoder and decoder.Very happy with how easy they worked.

If you are just interesting in sending digital signals, these 433MHz devices are less fidgety. They come with antennas and have no user adjustments. The earlier version was based on regenerative RF receiver and this required tuning adjustments and the basic circuitry can be found on line. This version is said to be based on superheterodine circuitry and needs no adjustment but the down side is there is no information on the circuit on line, for those who might want to modify or adapt this device to other applications. For those who want the standard application, this version might be easier and operate more reliably for you.

These are way better than the most popular 433mhz modules for sale on amazon (the ones without the antennas and dedicated chipset). I had no luck with the popular modules even with the antennas as transmissions were spotty, but I was able to transmit and receive data using these with ease. Spend the extra buck and get these modules instead.

Worked well with arduino nano and arduino uno. Distance was about 50 feet through a few walls in the house before I lost the connection.
