I didn't expect alot and even with that. This item fell so short. The only thing this would split is balsa wood. Stay away. Tossed mine in the scrape pile.

Petites bûches de bois dur sec , je nais pas réussi à en fendre une seule. 20v xr de Walt pas assez forte et pourtant c’était des bûches déjà fendue que j’ai refendue simplement par la suite avec une petite hache.

I’m going to preface with the fact that I am not a professional and could be making an error but I have had no luck making this drill splitter work. I’ve tried small branches smaller than my wrist and worked up to ones that are thinker and these bits have not split any of the logs. I’ve tried different types of wood also with no difference. At best I’ve been able to split slivers off the logs and that is it.

This was a disappointment. In theory it sounded good. Who doesn't want to split wood easier and without an axe? Wow! I can use my own drill to do the hard work for me? Great!Nope, not the case at all. Tried it on a couple of drills that each had more power and torque and each time the drill bits just get stuck and stop working. I had no luck splitting any wood at all.

Had high hopes for this even with the reviews. Normally with such bad reviews I would steer away from an item. I went against my best judgment and now I wish I hadn’t. Just don’t buy this

I love the idea of this bit. It makes so much sense. I was concerned about whether not my drill would have enough torque to make it work. It does not. It’s not a cheap drill. I also have a cord powered drill that has quite a bit more torque. Which is also not strong enough to send the bit through a log I tried several techniques, including attempting to splinter off a small piece from a log that was already partially split does not work, the bed gets stuck in the wood the drill loses torque to even loosen it so buyer beware I would not purchase unless you have a serious heavy duty drill..

Tried to split ash wood utilizing an 18v Metabo drill and did not split the wood at all!! I did not have a 120v drill but will try again later!
