I was quite surprised when I received this item. First of all the rose gold color was stunning!We've wanted to add a second bowl to our Kitchenaid stand mixer to help make it easier during cookie making season by being able to switch one out while the other was being washed for the next round. When I saw this I decided to give it a try. It is made of a nice heavy gauge of stainless steel so it holds up to the brutal beatings of cookie dough lol. I'm not sure if the addition of a half of a quart capacity helps anything except to give the bowl a slightly wider opening. This provides a little less contact between the beater and the sides, but we also have to stop and scrape the sides in the smaller bowl as well so really no change there.An added bonus is the handle on this new bowl. The grip is fully rounded and also has finger indents on the inside to aid in more gripping power of the heavy bowl.The bowl does lock into the mixer as it should and it does not interfere with the lowering of the mixing head.Worth the price!

This is a stylish replacement or secondary bowl for your KitchenAid Classic Tilt-Head Stand Mixer. The bowl that came with my mixer has no handle, so it's a bit awkward at times trying to hold on to it when scraping out cake batter. This bowl has the handle and except for the color looks almost identical to the original bowl on the inside and around the bottom where the grooves are. It's about the same weight. My original bowl has the KitchenAid name, where it was made, and "K45" on the bottom - this mixing bowl has nothing stamped on the bottom. It's a smidge taller at 7 1/4 inches (original bowl is 7") but still fits under the mixer head with any of my 3 attachments whether the mixer is turned off or running. Dishwasher safe just like the original, for easy cleaning.Gold, Rose Gold, Black, and Copper replacement bowls seem to be priced higher, along with patterned ceramic and glass bowls with pour spouts and handles. If you don't need the color you can find the plain silver stainless steel bowls with handles for around half the price of this bowl.

The bottom of the bowl has a plastic piece that has to screw on so that it will fit into the stand mixer base. Once you turn the mixer on the bowl pops off of the plastic piece. Not a good design, I don’t suggest buying this.

I Love this glass mixing bowl so much!!! It's absolutely beautiful. It fits perfectly and it's lid fits on it perfectly. I also love that the lid has the removable center for the attachments. It was packaged very secure and shipped quickly. It is better than described.

Bigger than I expected for my KitchenAid mixer. It’s slips around on the stand. Otherwise it’s well made.
