This is dialed rite in out of the box but the case around mine was broken when I received it.

I don't know what more one could expect in such a measuring tool. I have another one, made by a different company, and this one is at least as well made. It's a simple tool that seems well made. Pretty solid and no sloppy play anywhere.

Good quality. Well worth the price.Matches the readings of my digital caliper. What more could you want in an inexpensive precision tool.Also my vernier calipers are far harder to interpret, and this matches their measurements.No battery needed. This is a great improvement over the digital caliper!Recommended, if you aren't a rocket surgeon or something who would need even finer precision.

This instrument is made of stainless steel and is quite hefty. Super easy to use and the mechanical dial seems to be quite accurate. I believe this is a good value.
