I purchased these since spending over $100 on a pair seemed a bit much for the 3-4 times I need them a year. I was hoping that I'd be lucky like some of the good reviews it got but sadly these are pretty crap. They need a clamp to assist in getting them closed in order to lock. Even with that locking is a pain in the rear. The large ones spun good once locked, the tiny ones not very good but they finally did the job.My hands hurt from trying to get them to close. Maybe some modifications will make them better but overall very disappointing. Would not recommend to anyone who needs to use these daily.

Recently, I built a chicken yard and a chicken house for laying chickens! These pliers were invaluable in installing the fencing around the chicken yard! Just another application for this long existing product!

These don't grip wire as well as they ought to. All to often when you pull to twist, the wire escapes.
