The concept of these bookends is great - the clear acrylic just disappears, and all you see are the books on the shelf. However, this set of six shipped with a defective bookend. One of the two protective films was missing, and when I peeled the other one off I could see the bookend was marred and cloudy. How does this happen!!!???

I like the look of these minimalist acrylic bookends and am using them in my daughter's bookshelves. Once you remove the protective film and apply the rubber dots to the bottom of each bookend, the bookends disappear nicely and allow visibility of the book covers instead of covering them up. They also stayed put without sliding around. However, I noticed that after some time and use, one section of hardcover books were leaning against one bookend, causing it to flex. When I stood the books back up, I noticed that the plastic remained slightly angled. I've realized that it's better to use one bookend for every 5 or so heavier books and try to make sure they're flush with the bookend to prevent this from happening. However, the bookends that are propping up the paperback books are doing just fine. These bookends definitely serve a purpose, and I appreciate their streamlined look and low cost – just know that they're better with fewer books and with lighter weight books, otherwise they'll bend (and possibly break?) over time.

These acrylic bookends are fantastic! They're clear, sturdy, and do exactly what they're supposed to do – keep my books organized. Plus, the anti-slip mats are a nice touch. Highly recommend!

These book ends hold books up well, especially once you put the little grippy pads on the bottoms of them. I'm using them with a variety of sizes of books, and they work perfectly. I like how they blend in and aren't obtrusive looking.

I gave it two star because this is the most disappointing acrylic item I have gotten so far. I gave it two star for the thickness and sturdiness of the stand. It still works as intended but just not what I like appearance wise (more yellow) and have sharp edges. So FYI there are sharp uneven edges on some of them, which could potentially damage my books or shelves when I use it. Also it is NOT clear, it is more yellow than it should be, so it must have been sitting out somewhere with too much sunlight or heat, or it was made that way. The packaging around it was yellowish though so I'm thinking it is more likely a warehouse storage problem where the acrylic went from clear to yellow due to how badly it was stored. Finally, I had a very hard time removing the plastic thin films on all of them. I don't think I will use it where it is too visible since the yellow tint will bother me, but it still works if I place it in places where it won't be seen and can't be damage like inside metal cabinet instead on painted wood or near walls.

These clear acrylic bookends are both pretty and quite sturdy. They are nice and tall to hold taller books, and have attachable silicone anti slip pieces to apply to the bases to help hold them in place. I really like the minimalist appearance of these bookends, and find them to function better than most of my others. And this truly is a good value for six of them. I’m very glad to have found these!

These clear acrylic bookends keep my books perfectly perpendicular and provide a clean, uncluttered look on my bookshelves. One of the bookends in this set of 6 did have a rough edge on one corner. This did not affect the appearance but had the potential to scratch skin.The bookends are thick and hold up to heavy books. Clear adhesive pads are included to prevent slipping and protect your furniture finish. The bookends are encased in a peel-off film to protect them while shipping, which results in a beautiful, clear appearance. Good quality, but could have used a little more attention to smoothing the edges.
