Depending on the string you have for your bow, these can be easy or difficult to install. For one bow, with a cheap thin string they just slid on. For another bow we had to heat it up in warm water to pull it over the reinforced loop, which was not easy. Afterwards it was just loose from being stretched. I'm sure I could practice my installation with other techniques, like a lubricant (String wax?). However the deal breaker was in actual use. My fingers are too big and the kids preferred the feel of the string over the finger savers. So we moved onto archery gloves instead.

These will give your fingers a break. They come with cotter pins for pulling the bowstring through the guard. You'll need pliers for that. If the bowstring end is fat, use vise-grips.
