The IPR Valve regulates the oil bypass circuit of the high pressure oil pump. It is an electromagnetic valve that opens and closes to allow high pressure oil into the injectors. This enables the PCM to control fuel delivery by increasing the speed in which the IPR valve operates thus, being a critical component in your vehicle system.

Installed and vehicle wouldn’t start, took to the dealer and they diagnosed it as a faulty IPR valve even though it was brand new out of the box.Don’t buy, spend the unfortunate amount of money and buy a reputable one from an auto parts store or dealership.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! I tried to save some cash because i was just diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that has metastasized into bone cancer and need this truck to get to my chemo treatments. it never worked out of the box. When I received this product i went out started my truck moved it over to my shop . mind you it was running rough due to old valve failing. removed old valve installed this valve put everything back together, went to start and nothing. just cranked. took new valve out reinstalled old valve and truck started. so took old valve out installed new valve and nothing. So went to remove this valve and it seperated. the cylinoid seperated from the regulator . there is no way to get this out. only way now... seperate the body from the chase. worst part. i cant return this because part of it is stuck in the engine block and i have to have in the mail by a sertain time which i will miss. once again. DON,T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY FOR ANY PART.OH I I PUT ONE STAR BEACUSE THE SITE WON'T LET RAYTE AT A ZERO.

I work on alot of these 6.0L diesels. Part has lasted a long time. Once in a while changing the screen doesn't hurt. Also purchase the pigtail with it.

Not OEM BUT bought for spares while troubleshooting, Not needed at first but eventually required both. Both function like stock - no difference- except for price-70% cheaper . 5K mi so far Im happy UPDATE 10K mi 👍 WHILE OEMs have failed , theses WORK. Will ALWAYS KEEP a pair for back up
