This review is for the YDDECW brand 6/3 NM-B Wire with Ground, Non-Metallic Sheathed Copper CableThe cable is robust. The jacket is thick and certainly appears to be up to the task. The printing on the insulation reads “YDDECW 6AWG/3 TYPE NM-B INDOOR WIRE 600V”.The cable is flat, so it can fit into tight spaces though doing a bend against the long axis of the cable is difficult. I am still torn as to whether this is going to be a net positive or not for my application. Each conductor has 7 thick strands. As expected, the wire is very stiff. The product listing says that this cable is appropriate for residential use, but I was unable to find an ETL or UL logo indicating it passed safety standards. Therefore, it is not appropriate for residential use.

Just what I needed to make 3 runs to the main breaker panel for the new, tankless water heater. Glad I didn't have to buy more than I needed!

I ordered this cable to bring power out to the treehouse I built this summer and it will surely do that job well. The cable is VERY heavy and definitely very high quality. As another reviewer has noted, this cable doesn't have any markings to indicate it has been listed by any of the testing labs but with that said, I believe a lot of products claim to be listed when they aren't in reality. Overall, I'm confident in the quality of this cable and I don't have any concerns about its ability to carry a lot of current.

Ok, up front, there is not UL listing and while the information page states that it is made to comply with UL requirements, it does not say it is UL tested. That does not mean it is illegal to use in areas that you would normally use a Romex type of cable. NEC does NOT require UL certification for wiring used in a residence. So, it comes down to do you trust that the wire is made correctly or not?Looking over the cable, it appears well made. It is a stranded type of cable, so it is more flexible than a solid wire would be. This is an indoor cable and NOT for use outside and NOT rated for direct burial and NOT rated to be put into a conduit. It can be put into concrete, ceramic, brick and other material. It should not be used where there is a lot of moisture. So, running it for a 50 amp service outlet for a RV works just fine in the walls, which is what I bought it for. Using it anywhere a standard Romex (that is a type NM cable) wire can be used this can also be used.I find it to be a good value and the cable to be good quality.
