I did not try to return it but wish I had before my time to return had run out. The price was too good to be true because this black opal looks like resin compared to a black opal I already have. I hate it when I fall for these types of purchases. Size was as expected, color was like expected except for the perfect colored stripes you do not normally see in a real black opal.

When I purchased it ,I did not know what to expect for the money.I mean , the ad says it's a natural opal.Opals this big are extremely pricey I received it. So beautiful.I still dont know if it's real or man made but I like it anyway.

It was expensive, but it'sbeautiful. Very flashy, and you can see the structure of it on the edges because of the way they cut it. Would be perfect for a giant ring or a bigger piece.
