When not working well

1, oil circuit problem: fuel tank to carburetor oil supply is not smooth. Check whether the oil circuit is open, whether the tubing is choked or not, and whether there is foreign matter blocking.

2, the idle speed is too low: the new carburetor can not match the machine completely, and the old machine may need higher idle speed because of the aging or wearing of various parts. The new carburetor is based on a brand-new machine matching test, the test parameters are qualified after the factory, unable to meet the needs of each customer's different parameters. This situation needs to increase the idle speed: the valve screw at the red circle arrow (clockwise adjustment of 1-2 rings)

3, the negative pressure hole is blocked: the negative pressure hole is blocked also cause the extinguishing situation. Check whether the negative pressure hole in the red circle is blocked when it is installed.

Customer questions & answers

Do i have to assemble it ?

Minor assembly in order to make it match what it is replacing. Simple.

does the 215434 carburetor require a jet? the one I'm working on doesn't have one.

This has a needle valve I hope this helps I’m not sure what you mean by jet

Will this fit a 21A-332B062 yard machine mtd tiller? It looks similar enough.

With more research by the customer he or she may be able to find confirmation from the manufacturer. The customer didn't provide enough information and or pictures. A visual match may be possible but without a picture I don't feel comfortable making a recommendation.

Q:Why is the carburetor leaking gas after shutdown? I installed the carb, tiller started on first pull but when shut of it leaks gas.

A:Assuming you have checked all the fuel lines for leaks, and the clips that hold the hose to the connections are good and springy in the right place, and that is not the problem: If the carburetor nut on the bottom of the bowl is loose, it could cause gas to drip. Another thing that might be the cause is the gas had trash in it/ or some dirt or debris dropped in when you installed the new carburetor and that trash/debris has wedged itself in the needle valve which is keeping gas flowing into the bowl and overflowing and leaking after the engine has stopped running. The only other thing I can think of is, if the pin that holds the float has become dislodged, it may be preventing the needle valve from closing, resulting in what you are experiencing. Good Luck.

The choke Detent spring was replaced on both items with a screw instead of a spring, when assembled the choke lever will not turn without damaging the black plastic choke lever. The factory carb has a spring for this detent(NOT A SCREW)I have purchased one and you guys sent me a replacement and it is also equiped with a screw instead of a spring.NOTE!! At first glance this screw resembles a spring, but in cold weather it causes the choke lever to split !!!Please check it out .

Purchased a wood chipper from an estate sale for a few bucks. Carburetor was corroded. I installed this one and the machine started right up and I chipped up several limbs. No complaints.
