These are fun shapes and an ideal size for the handpies I have in mind. I think they will be a hit with larger gatherings for my family and friends. They seem well-made and sturdy. I can see that a thorough washing of these plastic items will be important before storing. However, I needed more instructions/tips, which I found easily online from other sources, but a tips page enclosed would have been helpful and time-saving for the first use. I'll be better prepared next time, now.

I ordered these to make individual pies for the holidays. I thought they would be easier than packing a pie slice for others to take with them with their leftovers.The molds turned out to be more of a child serving than adult. My grandson and I made various flavors of the hand pies. We put a very light sweetener on them because the kiddos liked the pie flavor better. Adults who wanted a small taste these worked well. For the adult size, I made my own patterns in a larger version. It was more time consuming.I’ll keep these for now for bake sales for youth, youth holiday pies, etc. I can cut the hand pie shape out ahead of time, seal, and freeze. I have not tried to freeze an unbaked assembled pie. The cooked ones did freeze well with the filling I used.There is more experimentation that is planned like air frying instead of baking. That will be fun for the grandson. Overall for youth cooking these are a great idea, easy and fun to assemble.We cleaned them with a soapy wash and a dish brush. Air dried them.

These are great, I think 8 dollars for 3 is fair with the discount. You can put maybe a table spoon of filling in, and then fold it over, I actually use like shredded meat, of cream cheese and jalapeños, or a fruit filling, we have also done chocolate. It’s perfect for little kids hands and if you make 2 pie crusts then you can make a ton of these. They are so fun!

So who hasn’t had those one of a kind old fashioned apple hand pies that were sold for years from that giant fast food chain with the clown? Anyways, we’re all grown up now and diabetes is a real thing. So, we have to make healthier choices. These allow me to customize what ingredients go into my hand pies and to use less sugar or sugar substitute recipes instead of having to forgo the ones sold at bakeries with way too much sugar. I am so excited to make all sorts of hand pies and these molds make them even cuter with their adorable little cutout shapes. Probably going to spend all winter baking these. I really like this set - now I think I need one for every season!
