The locking screw spins endlessly. Even with baritone strings, which are more thick. The tuning is inconsistent, sometimes goes smooth, sometimes needs a little more strength.Don't buy these.

So, I got 4 sets of these locking tuners in total. I put them on a Squier Affinity Strat, Squier Bullet Mustang and cheap Glarry Strat and Mustang clones. Here's the honest truth, they're decent, but there were some problems. Of 4 sets of 6 tuners, one tuner didn't have the string hole drilled in it. Not a big deal, I have a drill and some metal bits. Also, the inner core rod that pinches the string is made of different materials in a few tuners, some are black others are chrome. Some of them had difficulty grabbing onto the tiny 1st and 2nd strings, but I just unscrewed the core rods and swapped them out with others that had a thicker rods. pay attention to that inner rod, if the end is too thin, it won't work well on the high E and B strings, so make sure the ones you use for those strings have center rods that fill the entire cavity. There are numbers on the inside of the tuner that range from 1-4, but I couldn't decipher what they meant, if anything. All 4 guitars now generally stay pretty close to in-tune, and that had been an issue with the factory tuners. Some of the tuners are a bit inconsistent, like sometimes they're harder to turn or they move either too much or too little for how far the key was turned. I think what I mean is the ratio can be off sometimes (if that makes any sense.) Also, there's a little nut inside the gear mechanism that the center rod goes through, and it wasn't fully screwed in in a few tuners, so the center rods didn't go all the way in. Again, it wasn't a big deal to tighten them and problem solved, just something to look out for. Over all, I like them better than the factory tuners, but they're about the quality I expect for $15 and they certainly don't increase the value of a guitar. If you can fix the factory defects yourself (because they probably will be at least one), they're a good value for the money but nothing to brag about to your friends.

The quality is very bad, there is so much play in them and the gear ratio is super long. The plating is cheap and thin, which is bad because fingers have lots of oil on them. One of knobs arrived broken so I had to epoxy it back to even function. The locking feature works good, but other than that there is zero advantage over the normal economy tuners. If you’re dead set of getting these get them in the black color so then you don’t have to worry about the plating flaking off.Spend a few more buck for the guyker branded tuners, they’re a much bigger upgrade with no flaws.

For the price they are perfect for adding locking tuners to a cheap guitar. On my Glary tele they were dead on. No drilling, take old off put new on. Nice upgrade. Not as solid feeling as the grovers on my custom but seem solid enough, not loose feeling or any slip.

Easy to install, looks great and work as they should. Why spend a ton of money when you can buy these.

Great tuners. Only thing I had to do was as oil to the gears
