This 7-inch HDMI monitor feels a bit flimsy right out of the box, definitely on the cheaper side build-wise. I couldn't test the VGA input since I don't have any devices that use it anymore. It claims to support 1080p, but I couldn't get it to work at that resolution. However, it handled 1280x720 quite well.I played some YouTube videos and the picture quality was surprisingly good - no noticeable blurring. The built-in speakers are okay; you can hear everything clearly, but the sound quality is a bit tinny, like an old speaker setup. For me, the use cases are a bit limited, but I might hook it up to an old Raspberry Pi I have lying around. If you're looking for a cheap, small monitor and don't mind the build quality, this could be a decent option, especially if you mainly need it for lower resolutions. Just don't expect top-of-the-line performance or features.

The build quality on this is not great, cheap plastics, and what metal there is (the base) is very thin. The VGA cable that came with this unit was so bad I had to toss it and replace it with an actual VGA cable with working ferrites; the issue with the supplied VGA cable was that it caused visual distortions snow on the screen which was resolved by replacing this cable. The ferrites on the cable should clean out signal noise generated from existing interference that computer electronics output in various ways (which is normal). The issue is that the supplied cable did not contain actual ferrites (confirmed by cutting open the cable) but something that looks like ferries but are actually just plastic bumps (see picture).I also had to use some black out tape to cover up the eye stabbing blue LED on the power brick that came with the monitor. However, for what is is worth the basic display on this unit does work with no distortions when used with a decent VGA cable. They should have ditched all of the unnecessary accessories which are low quality and just stuck with the Monitor which is decent.

I really liked the idea of having a small monitor as an extra "widget" monitor for my setup. However, it seems to have a problem connecting with HDMI video sources. I have tried 3 different video sources and any attempt to connect causes the screen to blink off and on. I'll try it with other sources and if I am able to get it to work, I'll bump up the rating.

I got this for my kitchen for when I'm cooking. I got tired of fumbling with my phone and needed a better solution and this screen was my answer. I needed something small to watch youtube or amazon prime while I did my dishes or cooked, have a roku stick installed to this. It's not very loud but good enough for my needs. The monitor comes with a mount and can see this being great for gaming while traveling.

Right out of this box, the unit feels a bit on the cheap side but not too bad, and it definitely "seems" to be useable and decent.I had to use it with the HDMI cable that was included because I have nothing that uses a VGA cord, but this monitor will not work in the slightest bit. I can tell it is trying to connect because the screen on my computer or whatever device I hook this up to (I've tried several) constantly changes sizes and goes in and out over and over again. But nothing even shows up on the screen on this monitor at all. So, I guess I got a defective unit. The included HDMI cord works very well, as I have used it to hook up my computer to another monitor, so the problem is definitely with this monitor and not the cord or my devices. Since I think I read other reviewers also having defective devices, I would recommend not getting this one as I am sure there are many others out there that are more likely to work where this one seems to be a gamble.

I ran this small monitor to a raspberry pi and i got decent video. The sound is not bad but it could be better.

This screen isn't the best. It does have it issues and the cables included are very cheap. But this whole thing it cheap. You get what you pay for. I knew this going in so I am not surprised. It fine for use with a raspberry by or other similar device. It could also be used for setting up some analog cameras. or something. The image quality good enough for these use cases. Don't expect to use this as a computer monitor for anything major. It's better for workbench testing and playing around with raspberry type devices. .

The 7-inch Small HDMI Monitor is a fantastic addition to my tech setup! With a 1024x600 resolution, the display quality is surprisingly sharp for its size, making it perfect for gaming, Raspberry Pi projects, and even as a secondary monitor for my PC. The built-in speakers deliver decent sound, and I appreciate the multiple input options, including HDMI, VGA, and AV, allowing for versatile connectivity. It's lightweight and portable, which makes it easy to move around or use for on-the-go projects. The IPS panel provides great viewing angles, making it easy to see from different positions. Overall, this monitor offers excellent value for anyone needing a compact screen for various uses! Highly recommend it!
