Upgraded the drive of my mid 2012 Macbook Pro using this adapter. Please be aware that this is only for mSATA SSD and not NVME.

Came with the screws I needed to secure the mSATA drive, fits in the case all buttoned up, helped save this MacBook pro from becoming e-waste.

AArrggghhh!!!! only succeeded to fulfill my fears! After I initially bought the wrong adapter for my MBP I thought this would surely work! BUUTTT NO! i looked at its photo & thought "boy, that's kinda LENGTHY" compared to the other small clip looking ones. UGH!! Nope! my Samsung SSD hung over/off by about a 1/4" inch! Oooff! & I had to struggle to fit the samsung into this adapter! Not an easy/smooth install, thought I might have to take a file to the groove in the SSD! but, thenit finally snapped into place!!:0 Sooo after precariously disassembling the MBP bottom case to access the old SSD. this POS was fighting me on the easy part of the install! I checked the web to see if this was the wrong 1, Nope, it was right! but this clearly wasnt going well!! after trying to "force fit it into the case" & failing I gave up And will return it! bad experience, very bad adapter! save your money,& AVOID the aggravation!! it sucks & might've ruined my mac!!!

- First off - ain't compatible with a 2013 Early MacBook Pro - will NOT allow you to install a PCIe M.2 SSD / Totally bogus web description -

After using it for 1 month. So far didnt find any issues with a parts and everything seeminglessly working with no problem. No degredation in data reading so give 5 star.

I was able to successfully upgrade the hard drive on a Macbook Pro 13" Retina early 2013 to a Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB mSATA. Good fit physically. No issues thus far.
