I installed a Humminbird Ethernet Switch. Ended up installing closer to main unit at front of boat. Five foot ethernet cord was perfect. Got it all installed and everything works first try. I also purchased aDuco ABS Plastic Sheet 1/4 Inch Thick 8" x 12" and glued to side of boat below top rail. Then installed everything on it. Used JB Weld two part Marine Expoxy. Also cable menders to hold down cables attached to board.

After being frustrated by needing to buy a bunch of additional stuff to network my 3gN helix to my 4gN helix with mega live, I bought two of these to complete the network. They look to be the same quality as the OEM cables. I can’t tell if there is any difference in data transfer but I don’t imagine so. Units seem to be communicating with each other and the network hub, so I would buy them again if I ever expand my system.
