They are thicker than the ones I received originally with my compost bin. These filters hold the smell so well that you don’t even realize that there is a compost bin on the kitchen counter. Ever since I started using these, I haven’t seen any knats in the kitchen.As these filters are thicker, it takes a little longer time & effort to slide in but it’s worth spending that time. As you get used to them, it takes lesser & lesser time to insert.

I freaked out at first when I saw it was the wrong size but it’s actually really easy to cut them to size. Be not intimidated my friends!

I really don't like these filters which have to be cut to fit my compost pail, but I'm tired of shelling out so much money for the filters that come with the pail. I end up wasting a lot of filter after cutting them to fit, and these can't be easily washed without producing a black mess, so I definitely would try something else instead. Thick doesn't necessarily mean good.

We have what I thought was a fairly standard kitchen compost bin, I had previously just gone to target and got the filters there which worked out fine…then came the pandemic and buying everything online….First attempt at getting replacement filters was too small. My fault for assuming the diameter and not actually measuring. Amazon took them back, so whatever, lesson learned…Second attempt, I got the right width, but they were so painfully thin they just fell out within a day or so. I thought maybe I could just ignore the problem of it not sitting perfectly, and then we had to go to war with the fruit flies…Ok fast forward to these. I specifically searched for thick and 7.25”, these are great. I don’t care what random assortment of letters the shell company uses as a brand name, they work. If they are still on Amazon when I need more I will buy them again!

Works OK. My previous filter packs came with individually wrapped filters, where this package has all of them in the same package
