The tensioning rod is well made, feels solid, and easy to use. The description lists it as an alternator bracket for 350, 454 engines but it is universal for many applications where you need a tensioning rod to stabilize something. I'm using mine to stabilize a supercharger I'm installing on a Porsche engine - the length was perfect for my application. I have not completed the bodywork on the car, so I have not yet run the engine with this, but I've given the supercharger some good shakes and it doesn't budge!
