The repair cables were the wrong cables for my Ford ranger. I used some of the ends to replace the ends of my old cable.

This absolutely does not fit a 1998 Ford ranger as stated. They are way too short for said vehicles.

Ordered these for 2002 ranger extended cab. After fighting the old ones out, and getting these in, both are ¼ inch too short. Don't buy made in China parts for an American truck, lesson learned.

Not easy for a first time DIY. I had to watch different videos to figure out how to install the cable ends. Plus they were too small for the door cable to slide in to place. I had to modify them for it to fit.
