Simple to install and easy to use. I would have appreciated a spiral ring and some small screws and nuts for attaching the release to a board, but I liked them anyway. The Phillips head screw allows for tensioning the clamp to your personal tightness. Just be sure to get the line behind the pin on the clamp and you're ready to go. These are not designed to release under any kind of pressure. The lever must be rotated to release the line.

These clips say tension release, but with the pin in front of the pad I don't see how that can happen. Maybe I'm not understand them correctly, but it doesn't seem feasible to me. You could always pair this with a rubber band and allow for a tension break off. The clips themselves are good quality, solid plastic. Easy to manually flip the switch. Has an adjustable screw to tighten/loosen the padded grip. They have a little plastic loop instead of a metal ring. This has both pros and cons. You don't have to worry about it rusting, but the hold size is pretty small. You can always add one, but it would be nice if it was included.

The screws will not stay tight and I would not recommend buying these clips
