This product is cheaply made, it will not work on thin line and when tightening the screw it stripped the threads. Do not waste your money, this product is junk.

There's not enough thread on the bolt to close the gap enough to hold thin, wet braid. It'll probably be fine for thicker lines like mono though.To solve that I used a thin plastic washer (but has to be thin or you risk there not being enough screw thread to start in the hole and stripping the plastic thread of the hole. I also drilled out the bottom of the slot to allow more movement of the sides with less force, so they close easier.Note also the screw is showing corrosion after just a few outings in sea water. It looks like a coated rather than stainless screw.Further note the two in each packet are left and right pairs, not two of either right or left handed.Would I buy again? Probably not, but you are on fresh water and using thicker line like mono, go for it, they do work.

I ordered two boxes, which should of been 4 clips, but one box only had one in it so I only got 3 clips despite paying for 4 clips.

I love this thing.Great for open bail fishing.I have been looking for a different type I used back in the 80"s but this one is every bit as good.Easy to adjust,easy to use.Great product.
