I use them to prevent my fingers from curling. They are super easy to put on, and the little nibs that came with it were not necessary (and kind of hard to put on anyways).I found that these are much better for daily use than the other splints and braces I've used due to the fact that they are small but still functional. They do not get caught and snag in my pockets or on things around the house, and it is easier to keep clean than any kind of fabric splint. I do not need to remove it (but I easily could!) when washing my hands or using a keyboard. The plastic is lightweight but sturdy. They do not bend easily, and they provide enough support for that I need.

These are good provided they fit correctly, these ran large for me even with the included adjusters. The plastic is smooth without any rough spots and is strong, providing substantial support. I have petite hands for a lady, average to larger adult fingers should be fine with these.

These are OK, and I like that you can adjust the size, with the snap on piece, however, it's an exercise in itself to try and clip the adjuster piece to the ring. Also, I wish the clip was of the same color as the splint. It's black and the splint is cream colored. I also wish they had more variety of sizes. I had to use the clip on the second to the smallest ring (for my thumb) so that tells you how large the rest are.

I ordered the sizes 4-7, but actually I need a size 8 for my left thumb. The size 5 fits my ring finger, though. I think the plastic is very hard and a little uncomfortable. It is my first time using these, so I don't have much to compare it to. I really like how these can be used while doing dishes or whatever, because it drives me crazy to get my brace wet.

Folks with hypermobility commonly rely on Oval 8 or generic versions of them (like these) to help prevent fingers from hyperextending. These ones seem to be of a decent quality, but if you have strong fingers, it **will** be possible to break them just by flexing your fingers hard. Otherwise, they do a good job of staying out of the way while keeping fingers from going past straight.I'm not a big fan of the adjusters - they dig into the underside of my fingers uncomfortably. But they do work. They're tricky to click into place.

I have EDS and constantly injure my fingers, so I know splints. They're ok..I find them kinda uncomfortable. I wear a size 5 ring and opted to go up a size 4-7 since I was right on the cusp at 2" Some fit, some didn't. Also, it didn't provide ANY support when used with the two sides up. It only worked to restrict movement. I'm not really mad at that, cos I use these after I've got an injury, and that's what I usually need. The plus w/ these is they're waterproof and less bulky than the cloth/velcro, but I prefer those honestly.

I have dodgy thumb joints including a ganglion cyst in my right thumb's MCP joint, and only immobilizing it for a while will reduce it when it's flaring up. Finding braces that immobilize that joint sufficiently can be difficult because they don't come up high enough, and then you have to wear a full brace from the wrist up, and have to remove it every time you need to wash your hands. It's just a pain, especially since I'm right-handed.These little braces are really neat! They're not perfect, but once I figured out the right fit, they do keep my thumb joint stable and while not exactly comfortable, I do forget I'm wearing it, which says something.Handwashing is absolutely not a problem with this splint, and I don't have to worry about getting it wet or dirty. I wish there was a little bit of padding on the crosspiece, but a bandaid seems like it would be enough if I ever really need it.I'm hoping I can get more of these in the size I know fits me now, since I know I'll inevitably break or lose the one I'm using, but so far it's holding up very well!

I actually really like these. I have so many finger splints andI've tried so many because of my hypermobility You name the brand i.e. evabelle, silver ring splint co, zebra splints, oval 8's, many off brand oval 8's etc I've worn a lot.For $10 these are a steal. I know you are asking why?Well because they come in sizes as small as 1! and I did not have to shave any plastic off to wear them without them cutting my fragile skin. So I might buy a few more sets. These are wonderful! I'm actually wearing them in lieu of a $60 custom splint right now. So if you want to know if I recommend them the answer is a resounding YES
