I realized I lost my level in the classroom. I've been using the custodians giant level to check desks for readjusting. This is much better. Since it is magnetic, and the magnet is pretty strong, I can put it on the corner of my whiteboard and out of reach of sneaky hands. It wasn't too expensive and it is the perfect size to check desks, chairs, and tables. I don't know if it will be perfect for a build site, but this is a handy tool to have around the house or the classroom.

Well-made really rugged little level that holds its own honestly compared to some fairly high dollar units if anything it’s a little over built for what you would use it for the only grape I have with this level is that well it’s a guess it would be threefold would be one. There’s no Ruler built-in into both sides of it at all to it only has the magnet on one side not on both and three the magnet they use is about half as strong as what I would like to see it have like it should be a bit of a fight to get it off of your toolbox, for example And if it was that strong, I’d be OK with it only having the one magnet on the level but that’s not the case not the end of the world not a dealbreaker specially not for the price and especially being as compact as it is and lightweight but it’s dirty as it is it’s a really value packed item really all sincerity I was actually surprised when I opened it up how good it feels even the plastic parts and the parts that aren’t plastic are really really high-end polymer that feels good in your hand like think of a Glock 17 that kind of polymer like really nice. It doesn’t look like it just at first glance it kinda looks like blow moulded plastic that’s all on the inside, but it is most certainly a very sturdy well-made level with a much better quality polymer than looks would have you believe to the point where the one magnetic has the length of it on the one side is not strong enough they really hold it self up without having to be worried of it falling over or being knocked over or whatever if you’re not careful and after comparing it with other levels at 100% hold on and I would say surprisingly accurate for how short it is too it’s not the ideal level for a lot of tasks but anything that will allow for the shorter ones to be used It’s an excellent candidate and an excellent value.

I chose this 9" torpedo level as a backup to my 4' spirit level for larger projects. A small torpedo level is a exceptionally handy tool to have around the house. For aligning hung picture frames, lighting fixtures, pipe installation, all of these require a small, handy level and a torpedo fits the bill wonderfully.This level allows for vertical, horizontal and 45 degree alignments as well as featuring a magnet and V-groove for use on pluming/rounded surfaces. These features make this level versatile and profoundly helpful.That said, the build of this particular level is not at a professional standard. Foremost, the plastic used for the level does not feel very sturdy and has a "cheapness" about it. I feel that if I drop this level, it'll shatter. Secondly, the magnet, which effective, is fairly weak. It works but isn't terribly strong. Third, the v-groove on the opposite side of the magnet, doesn't have a magnet of its own. This makes the level difficult to use on round, ferrous materials as there's nothing to hold the magnet to the pipe.As there's no price on this product at the time of this review, I can't comment on value-for-price. Frankly, I can't see paying more than $10-$12 for this item. It has a real dollar-store quality about it.Still, if priced properly, this is an exceptionally handy item for adding to your toolbox.
