These pedals are solid and the small nubs help keep your shoes in contact with them without having to worry about scratching your shins or calves should you happen to slip. If you're looking for spiky grips, move along, these are not for you. These are more of a compromise between hard core trail riding pedals and casual neighborhood riding pedals. The pedals are labeled so you don't have to go back and forth figuring out which one spins which way when securing them to the crank arm.

Very disappointed. Opened these to find both sets of bearings are totally exposed with grease only partially applied. It’s so bad that they catch when rotating. The grips are just blunted bumps that won’t help much for keeping shoes in place. The reflectors are sadly the best quality part and yet they are made of cheap plastic that likely won’t last.Totally disappointed.

Solid metal pedals with a reflective light. Needed a replacement pair for my bike that had one pedal cross threaded.
