The inmei A10II Teleprompter for cell phones is decent. It does the job for cell phone filming and as the prompter. I could not figure out how a tablet, or even a mini could fit in the prompter holder. You can see that the holder closed its less that the size of a 12 mini. Open, its not much bigger. Instructions for the remote are so-so. The adapter rings and “cut outs” are great. Not convinced you can use this with an expensive mirrorless without another tripod. So for me, it’s my cell phone recording and cell phone teleprompter.

Ordered this to use for my "talking head" style videos, as I find it a bit cumbersome to use one on my computer or via an app on the phone. This is the 4th teleprompter I have owned, so I have quite a bit of experience with them. I will say that this one is probably one of the better "low end" ones I have used and it's perfect for someone just starting out with using one. Here are the cons...and honestly, there are not many:1. Most smaller teleprompters these days are made of plastic, probably for 2 reasons: weight/portability, and price. This one feels a bit on the thinner side, though, and while that does NOT affect it's use at all...it does give me pause to one to take it anywhere so I don't risk breaking it.2. It doesn't come with anything that will support a DSLR camera, which is how I would venture to say a LOT of content creators shoot their videos. This is fine and you could still use it with a phone if that's your thing...and honestly, if you make videos...you probably HAVE stuff you can use to retrofit this to work. But if you are an absolute beginner and don't, you're going to have to buy more "stuff" before you can connect your camera to it.3. There is no storage case etc included. Again, this is probably done for price reasons, but...that's such an inexpensive thing to "throw in" these days that it really should have been included. (I have another small teleprompter that is actually cheaper than this one is price wise, and that DID come with a case to store it AND it's accessories, for what it's worth. This last point is what I took the star off for, because a teleprompter is a delicate device, made of mirrors and glass, so this is kind of a must have. I happened to have a case that fits it, but...if you don't, that's another thing you now need to buy. At the end of the day, the lack of necessary accessories turns a "cheap" teleprompter into one that it more expensive than one which includes all of these things for "free"Now, the pros:1. Price is a big one - this is one of the less expensive teleprompters I've used and while it's no frills, it does the job, and it does it well. If you are just starting out, this is a good one to buy since you can always graduate to a better one later if you decide to stick with...whatever you needed a teleprompter for in the first place.2. It is very easy to set up - even though the instructions are not great. The set up is kind of intuitive so it's not more than a 10-15 minute job to get this up and running.3. The small size and screen size make it easy to store this in a corner for when you need it, without needing to take the whole rig apart each time and put it back together again.4. It's pretty much the perfect teleprompter for someone who has not used one before or is a hobbyist/just getting started, and that is, somewhat ironically, BECAUSE of it's lack of features. So would I recommend this? Actually, yes! It's a nice prompter for the price...it's easy to use, and it gets the job done. If you want to try one out and see if it works for you, or if you simply want to stick with a budget option until things "take off" then this is a great choice. There are some that are cheaper than this still, but in my experience some of them are tricky and require a bit of figuring out before you get it right. This one doesn't need that to make some simple videos so that to me, makes it worth the already VERY reasonable price of it.

INITIAL UNBOXING REVIEW (3/22/25)Now there is what looks to be a 1/4-20 mount in the bottom, but without some sort of a bracket you are expected to hang not only the teleprompter off the cameras lense, but whatever device you use as the prompter.....I really dont want this hanging off my camera lense.... I hoped that this was able to mount both on a tripod....They do include a ton of adapters, thats a huge plus5 Foam Cellphone Adapters & 1 Circular foam adapter ring82mm, 77mm, 72mm, 67mm, 62mm, 58mm, 55mm, 52mm, 49mmMicrofiber clothInstructionsRemoteI will test this further, but im not excited about weight on my lense.

This is my INITIAL review of the Inmei Teleprompter A10II. I will update this when I have more experience using it. For now, here are some things that I think worth sharing.Note that this is a very budget-oriented teleprompter. It is mostly cheap plastic, but for what it is, the build quality is decent, and everything seems pretty well-engineered given the price. Most importantly, it works. Setup is super easy for use with both a phone or dedicated camera. If using a phone, you can easily change from landscape to portrait mode. Also note, if you are using a phone, that you will still need a second device (phone or small tablet) for displaying the text. For the price, you get an easy-to-use teleprompter that works well. I like this enough that I plan on using it to shoot educational videos beginning immediately. But there are some other important things to note - some things that Inmei could give attention to.1. Currently (March 2025) the Android version of the app is nowhere to be found. It appears there was one, but it is no longer available. I am still waiting to hear back from Inmei as to whether the Android app will be available again (soon). In the meantime, I am using the Nanoprompter app for Android, which seems to work well with the included Inmei remote. This app might even be better than Inmei's app. If you are using iOS, you might want to experiment with both - and there are probably other apps that will also work with this remote. My Samsung phone immediately saw "Inmei" as an available device when I scanned for Bluetooth devices. Connecting was simple. With the remote, I am able to pause the text, adjust the speed, and move forward & backward. My only issue is that the pause button makes a loud click. I wish it were silent like the other buttons, but if one function button had to make a noise, this one is the easiest to deal with.2. If you are using this with a dedicated camera (DSLR or mirrorless), note that there no bracket is included for mounting/supporting both your camera and the teleprompter. Instead, the teleprompter attaches to your camera using an adapter ring (they've included most popular lens sizes). This little adapter ring screws on like a filter to your lens and has a small lip that allows you to slide the teleprompter onto the lens. This all that supports the weight of the teleprompter. It should have a bracket that attaches to both the teleprompter AND your camera for better support, but this is less of an issue than I imagined due to the light weight of the teleprompter.3. Inmei does not include a case or storage pouch for this, so take care of the box when opening it and then keep it for storing the teleprompter, remote, adapter rings, and phone adapters.4. It was challenging finding contact information for Inmei. I did end up finding a website (inmei.com) and an email address (infangerassembly@inmei.com) in case you need to contact Inmei for support. This is a budget teleprompter. It is not perfect, but for the price, it is worth it. I will be recommending this to my colleagues who are looking for a basic, low-cost yet effective teleprompter solution.
