Don't buy it. The finest of the frit you make will be filled with metal shavings, which causes bubbles and imperfections. The powder that forms will be dirty and gray. A magnet was included with my order, for removing the metal shavings, but it is very time consuming removing all of the shavings, and you can never seem to get them all. Too late for me to return mine

I just got my frit maker today and tried it out because I need a mix of three colors of glass-I've been using a sledge hammer to make frit which is very messy. This works great for making small amounts at a time and then I sifted the glass through a set of frit sifters so I can separate into different sizes. Perfect!

I'm disappointed with this product due to the short shaft, it doesn't give length for a strong impact, atleast for me, also the medal that impacts on the bottom is a thin strip I think it needs atleast another one,, over all It came on time and was what it said it was, I just hadn't bought one before and now I know what to look.Thank you

Used it for the first time today and noticed specks in the glass after further review I found it to be full of rust. New to fusing and thought this would be an affordable way to maximize glass but, this just ruined so much.Pros :It does make fritCons:RustyPoor choice to paint it black as it leaves paint chipsTons of metal left behind that you have to use a magnet (provided) to removeLeaves the frit dirty/grey

I can make my own frit now at home. I fuse glass and make various panels too. This now means I can take shards and do my own frit. I do try to use same colors and not just pulverize it all together...It is extremely sturdy and heavy. Very very well made.

No alterations needed. I wear gloves when using as the process will numb your hands but the device works well.

Very solid. It definitely helps to have the sifting baskets. It’s a glorified glass crusher that’s well made and easy to use.

So far so good, but I do wish it had another piece going across the other direction. I might take it to a friend. Otherwise it takes a bit to break glass, and can only use small amount when crushing, but at least it works.
