I bought this for my husband, who loves olives. It makes spooning out the olives easy and the brine drains back into the jar. It works well and cleans easily. Husband loves it.

Our son loves olives so knew this would be a great gift. He's 13 and was really excited to get it. LOL! I find myself washing it every day, he uses it every day and loves it. It's a nice design too.

I like the quality, the feel of this spoon. After reading reviews and purchasing anyway, I think some previous reviewers were whiners. If you read the description enough, you know you’re buying a spoon that will fit perfectly in most jars and help pull out one large olive at a time. It works perfect for me, as my primary purpose for it is spooning out large blue cheese filled olives or garlic filled olives for martinis at home. I can skewer the large olives with a bamboo pick from this spoon, and the holes in the spoon allow the skewer to poke through so the olive fits all the way up the skewer to make room for more olives. Ha. It is a very nice quality, well made spoon with a good finish. The heft of the spoon feels like quality, it appears to be well made with smooth edges and a quality finish that will last. I recommend it if nothing else to complement your bar utensils.

I bought a sifter spoon to spread sea salt, but the holes were too small for the salt to go through. Some said the holes on this spoon were too big for salt, but after much searching and coming up with nothing, I decided to give it a try.It works great with the right technique. Only scoop into the spoon as much salt as you want to end up with on your food. Then, shake mildly while moving the spoon around your food. I love it! No more salty fingers.Edit: 11/11/2020 it is no fault of the spoon, but as salt does, it pitted the stainless steel spoon. So, not a good use of the spoon.
