this thing is not weatherproof - on more than one level:1. rainwater got inside in no time. and yes, I installed it properly with the o-ring in place and the cable inlet properly sealed2. the included screws (to attach the light gray front to the dark gray back) are not stainless and rusted faster than I could screw them inthe whole switch stopped working within 2 weeks. Not recommended for any application and certainly not for anything outside..

This was used to remotely unlock the front door at work. Nice, clean industrial look. Plenty of room in the box for the wires. The button has a nice firm resistance - so it feel solid. Has been worked perfectly for four months now.

Installed this switch, which was easy and logical, a few days ago but I can already see the quality of the product. The outer case has a good thickness and looks like it can take the outdoor extremes with ease. The case comes with a gasket so should be water resistant. The mechanical operation of the switch feels solid. No doubt when the switch is activated. I’m using it for a gate opener and couldn’t be more pleased with the quality and function of the switch.

We used it for a doorbell button at a door where the rain from the west blows hard against the wall, which has led to the failure of several previous doorbell buttons. Looks like this one will hold up to the weather.
