I added this to a 1/2hp 230v furnace blower motor, and it worked exactly as expected. I just needed to reduce the rpm’s slightly, and so far it’s doing just that.

I'm using this for a heating element on a keg still and so far it's doing a great job.

Installed on a 220v element. Turned power on and started from 0 then slowly increased pot. Unit made it to about 8 amps before it shot sparks and blew. This is junk! Also bought another one from a different seller in hopes of it working but it was DOA. However I found this one that works only used once good luck. https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Voltage-Regulator-Control-Thermostat/dp/B075QZ9GZT/ref=sr_1_7?crid=IWFMUYYTCEDC&keywords=Walfrontm4cuxvw2nk&qid=1674397855&s=industrial&sprefix=walfrontm4cuxvw2nk%2Cindustrial%2C119&sr=1-7

I used this voltage controller to slow down a shop vacuum to gently collect bees from a wild hivewithout damaging them. I was able to vary the speed smoothly from fast to slow. I added nylon screeningto prevent the bees getting stuck in the vac's filter. It saved me from having to buy $400 commercial beevacuum.

No voltage transmitted until about 7 on the dial, which is probably typical. (120V)Max voltage with 120V in is about 110V out. Probably should plan on using a fan on this SCR if you weren't. It gets rather hot and I would worry about life expectancy if it stayed that hot the entire time.

Quality of this product is great. Has a massive heat sink to control any heat problems. To my surprise it had thermal paste as well to transfer the heat. The only down side is the control aspect of this wasn’t very good. I was going to use this to control a 120v motor and it’ll barely creep the motor and you turn it a tad more and then bam full speed. I might assume this would work better for a fan. Can’t beat the price of it.

Im using this to vary the power to a 2 phase, 5500 watt heating element. It works but you probably want to change the potentiometer out as it goes from 0v to 130 v about halfway through the dial turn.Only one leg of the two phase element needs to go through the device, you can leave the comm line out if you want. Pretty good deal for 20 bucks. It does get hot though so I’d suggest adding a cooling fan to the heat sink.
