Features

An annular cutter is a type of drilling tool, which is also called a Rotabroach, core cutter, broach cutter, magnetic drill, mag drill, core drill, trepanning drill, hole saw and cup-type cutter.

They are outstanding for the hole-making process. These cutters only cut the outside edges of holes and they take less horsepower so they help save time for machines with lower power.

Like your Chinese mag drill.... Yes it works, no not as well as the $700 one. But it does the job.These cutters are this... Use cutting fluid and it's quieter,cooler, and will triple it's life

I have owned a machine shop for many years thought I would try this due to price and availability. Tried to drill through 16 guage steel tube. Would not cut. Used plenty of cutting fluid and proper speeds but it still would not cut.

They cut like you think a heavy duty cutter should. Don't waste time or money with hd carbide hole saws.

I needed a bit to cut ten 2" holes in 1/4" steel for a project. I knew this was cheap and wouldn't last long but I thought it could cut at least 10 holes. ZERO!!! Yes, that's right: ZERO! This bit was unable to cut into steel at all. I put enough pressure on the bit to almost stop my mag drill and all this bit could do was to scratch at the surface. I used lots of cutting paste and tried over and over to no avail. DO NOT PURCHASE: TOTAL SCAM!!! FURIOUS!!!Replacement arrived the next day. It was able to cut 10 holes. First bit must have been a dud. $30 amazon bit vs. $275 bit from local store = DAMN GOOD VALUE!!! Cant give 5 stars since the quality control issue with first bit slowed me down.

I have drilled (16) 1.500” holes thru 1.000” plate and the bit is still as sharp as when I started. Use good cutting fluid and keep the bit cool! Works perfect!

This worked great in my Bridgeport mill to cut 3" holes in 1/2" cold roll plate. Saves a ton of time over using a boring tool. Tool is sharp and cuts pretty fast with coolant. I am sold on these annular cutters and bought the whole family of larger sizes, use them in the Mill and the lathe.
